Why does the app have ads?

We understand that ads can be annoying at times. And we're here to explain why there are ads within our app.

Since CodyCross is 100% free, ads are what help us keep the game running and continue to bring new features to our players. Behind the scenes of CodyCross, there's an incredible team working every day to listen to our players and improve the app.

Nevertheless, to provide you with an ad-free experience, we've also crafted special offers in our store. In this section, you can opt to eliminate ads for either a month or even permanently!

Different types of ads

You may have already noticed, but there are three different types of ads in CodyCross. Let's explain each one.

1. At the end of each level: After completing a level, you'll likely watch a short ad. Typically, they last for 5 seconds, and you'll need to click the X two or three times to close them completely.
2. Banners: During some levels, a rectangular ad may appear in the upper corner of the screen.
3. Reward ads: These ads usually last for 30 seconds, and at the end of them, you'll receive some tokens, bitz or power-ups.

Which ads are removed when you purchase the ad-free option?

When you purchase the "Ad-free" option, you remove the first 2 types (At the end of each level and banners). In other words, you still have the opportunity to watch ads to earn rewards.
